How do you make the background of an image clear? I have a logo on white and would like to change the white to clear. Thanks in advance for your help.

One way, assuming you have only a background layer.
Double click on the layer in layer palette to make it an independent layer.

Select background (what you want to delete) and hit delete. Or select what you want to keep and use Select/Inverse and hit delete.
