Effects sizes

Is it possible to control the width of the various framed "effects" in elements. In other words can I broaden a frame or narrow one of the frames to allow the frame to cover a larger portion of my photograph. I am using Elemets 2.0 with XP. I am opening rather large sized photo files in elements usually doctored in CS in PSD a format.
