CS3: Preserving transparency with the slash key

In earlier versions, the slash key (/) locked transparency (as opposed to image pixels, position, or all). Tonight I find in CS3 that this keyboard shortcut will lock both transparency and position — not always but under conditions that I have not been able to discern.

Did the function of this shortcut change? Or does it lock both transparency and position only in certain circumstances? Or do I need to rebuild my preferences?
