tech specs for video cards do not differentiate between DVI max resolution and VGA max. Sure my geforce 5200 supports 2000×1500 but it tops out a 1600×1200 DVI. Not enough for the monitor.
Do you have to guess what the DVI output is? Is there a visible difference in quality in 2d graphics between these outputs?
