CS3 Photograph won’t move into a blank document!!

I have been using photoshop CS3 on my macbook pro for about four months now, and one of the things I do the most is create new documents and move photos into them with the move tool. I have never changed any of the original settings, at least as far as I’m aware…but now the move tool does not work to move photos to a blank document. I can’t figure it out for the life of me and apparently it costs $40 to have someone tell me over the phone so if anyone out there has any idea what can help me, please let me know! Thank you!

Multichannel? Index color? What do you mean it doesn’t work anymore? You could try resetting the prefs or the move tool as well.

The move tool doesn’t work, that’s all I’ve noticed is wrong. Resetting the move tool? How would I do that?
