I have vista 64 bit installed, 4gb ram and a geforce 8400 gs.

photoshop opens ok, but when I open a image, only appears a gray window. and when i move the image box, the image appears, but when I stop moving it, it desapears again.. I know I can edit the image, because I can add a brush into it, and when I move the box the image is brushed.. And when I enter the filter gallery the image appears normaly..

any hint to solve this problem?

It goes without saying that the latest drivers for your geforce 8400 gs are installed. Right?

Yes, the latest drivers are installed.

I figured out the problem! I think it was something rellated to windows vista visual efects, they were all turned on, when i turned off all the visual effects, the image appears and photoshop runs normally.

thanks for the help anyway.

Oh-oh! That runs counter to what others have experienced – at least as far as Aero is concerned.

I turned off one by one and i discover that "desktop composition" was the trouble one..

I googled a bit and i found this:

hope this help anybody besides me 🙂
