I have photo shop CS2 and recently the CS3 trial. I uninstalled CS2 for CS3 but I was disappointed when setup installed all the components but Photoshop itself. I uninstalled cs3 and went back to cs2, however I cannot install that either. Luckily I saved a backup of the install folder however now it just boots up and later gets an error. I can open photos with it but out of no where I am doomed to get the error.

was that the CS3 Beta? if so its not a trial its a Beta and you need to run the clean up script.

and there is no reason to uninstall CS2. I think you have discovered why.

Read the many posts in the many ‘won’t install’ threads for ways to overcome your problem–it may not be a simple matter of running the clean up script, but that is the place to start–that is if you have run the standard ms uninstaller and then a registry cleaner already.

Ive done everything which everyone has done in all the threads I’ve read on this site so far without much luck. At this point I just want to get CS2 working so I may start editing again.
