Brush Cursor not stable in CS4

I just got Photoshop CS4, and the brush keeps defaulting to the ‘precise’ cursor and won’t stay at the ‘normal brush tip’. (circle) It will stay for a few moves, then if I use any other tools, it reverts back.

Any suggestions?
