I have PS CS3 (not the whole suite and not Version Cue).
When I open a file (any file – I’ve tried a bunch) I get an error message box titled Photoshop.exe Fatal Application Exit.
"The specified module could not be found C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\Adobe…etc…VersionCue.DLL" click OK and get another error dialog "The instruction at 0x5ad71531 referenced memory at 0x00000014. The memory could not be "read". Then I click OK and Photoshop quits.
I have deleted my preferences, rebooted, same problem. If I try to creat a new file, it’s essentially the same (after I click OK in the File New dialog, the error appears).
I have never had version cue on my system. I did not have the CS3 beta (I did have CS2, CS, etc. but only CS2 is currently installed). The enable version cue check box in preferences is unchecked.
I did search here but didn’t see anything that looked like this problem. What do I need to do to get PS working?
My system is running XP Pro, SP2
