Photoshop ‘Help F1’ error

I’ve just tried using the: ‘Help > Help Photoshop F1’ feature, I get an Error which reads: ‘The Operation could not be completed’ I click an OK button which leads to another error dialog box which reads: ‘ahc.exe – Application Error – The instruction at "0x00864a" referenced memory at "0x00fa40b08". The memory could not be "written". Click OK to terminate the program’. (I click OK – it doesn’t terminate the program – it just gets rid of the error messages).

I’m using Photoshop CS2 version 9.0.2, Windows XP professional service pack 2, Pentium 4, 1GB RAM. 197GB Free disk space.

I have tried re-booting my computer, still doesn’t work.

It has worked in the past, I don’t remember installing anything recently.

The Help F1 feature is very useful and I would like it back if anyone can help. Thanks

Similar problem as Syd with my old PhotoShop 6.01…

Note as a retired dtp user, I shouln’t need to much help:-))

Michael,

Completely different help system in v.6x – that used HTML help files.

Most help problems in earlier versions were down to lack of resources.
