Clear DayHello

I’ve just installed Elements 2 which was bundled with my new Nikon camera. Immediately I click on the program to open it, the following message appears:

The procedure entry point UnMapSLFixArray could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL

However if I close the message window, Elements loads and I am then able to use the program -at least so far!

Can anyone explain what this error is please and is there anything I can do to make it go away:). I am a new user so would appreciate any feedback.

TIA

This is a computer problem rather than Elements. Take a look at

http://www.all-windows.com/kernel32.html

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=%2Fsupport%2F windows%2Ftopics%2Ferrormsg%2Fkbkern.asp

http://www.5starsupport.com/info/kernel32.htm

These should help

You can get another copy of it here:–

Clear DayHi everyone, especially Ben T, Mike O’Sullivan and Pet Lover

I’ve tried all your suggestions at the following websites

http://www.all-windows.com/kernel32.html

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=%2Fsupport%2F windows%2Ftopics%2Ferrormsg%2Fkbkern.asp

http://www.5starsupport.com/info/kernel32.htm

All to no avail. I did find some references to Kernel 32.dll but these were not relevent to my specific error message,
[The procedure entry point UnMapSLFixArray could not be located in the dynamic linklibrary KERNEL32.DLL].
They were mostly solutions to Invalid Page Faults. There was some mention that if this error occurred whilst opening a SINGLE program [PSE 2 in my case], the program itself might be faulty and would need to be replaced.
Do you think that, even though PSE 2 was bundled with my new camera, in other words – FREE, Adobe might replace the CD or am I asking too much?

For Mike: I found these kernel32.dll (373520 bytes) kernel32.dll (732432 bytes) at :
http://dll.yaroslavl.ru/index.php3?in_search=KERNEL32.DLL as you suggested.

I have d/l both of these but haven’t a clue which one to use or what to do now they are downloaded. Sorry to be a pain. I am running Windows XP Home. Please advise if you can. I will be eternally grateful! Thankyou.

I found a reference on the web to your particular error, and found this, which might help

I’m not sure where kernel32.dll lives in Win XP, but in Win2000 it resides in the WINNT directory. I suggest that your version might be corrupt. It wouldn’t hurt to replace this with the copy you downloaded (just drag and drop in Explorer).

I looked in my XP home and it’s in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and C:\I386
