Hello and thanks for the help,

Photoshop Elements 3.0 on Windows seems to be missing the JPEG option when I try to save a file (It lists the "JPEG 2000" option, but not the JPEG option).

Specifically, when I try to save:

File->Save As…
Format:
Photoshop (*.PSD;*.PDD)
JPEG 2000 (*.JPF;*.JPX;*.JP2;*.J2c;*.J2K;*.JPC)
Photoshop PDF (*.PDF;*.PDP)
Photoshop Raw (*.RWA)
PNG (*.PNG)
TIFF (*.TIF;*.TIFF)

There is no JPEG option, only a JPEG 2000 option.

How do I save to JPEG format?

Thanks for the help,
DCG

Hello,

I found the problem. The JPEG option is not available for images with 16-bit color depth, only 8-bit depth. If I convert to 8-bit, the JPEG option appears.

Sorry to bother you.

No bother. Solutions are as welcome as problems (maybe more so).
