I am evaluating the trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0

I tried to create a custom slide show and here are the issues.

1. Add transition to all does not seem to do anything.
2. If I add transition between the slides manually, if I click on the "play" button, the program crashes (vanishes into thin air).
3. I could make a simple slideshow (pdf) successfully.

Any ideas about #1 and #2?

I figured out the following.

1. I need to select at least one transition to use "Apply transition to all". Is there a way to add random transitions to all?

2. I need to turn down hardware acceleration to fix #2. I have 512 MB DDR, 20GB free HardDrive, 1.8GHz P4 and nVIDIA GeForce 5200 128 MB.

If I want to operate at full hardware acceleration, what do I need to do?

Thanks for your time.
