Hello, just found out how to make transparency work in tga file.
1. Select the object you want to keep (no transparency). You can use magic wand or many other select tools.
2. Go to Select–>Save selection. Then a small window pops up, type in something under "name" and hit ok.
3. Now your object is being masked. Everything else in the background becomes transparent. So go ahead and save it as tga.
Alpha channel in Photoshop Elements is "Select–>Save selection", just learned that ;P Hope this would help.
