Crash importing .ai files

I have this problem with CS3, both on xp and vista, with the same machine. I didn’t have the problem with CS2.

When I import illustrator files into photoshop, the system crashes. Crashes are more frequent importing higher than 72dpi resolutions.

What can I do?

AMD 4400 64×2 – 2Gb RAM

I forgot 2 things:

– My graphic card is a NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1400
– In the blue screen, the error message is related to that card: nvlddmkm.sys

Have you tried updating the driver?

yes, sure.

the problem is always there.
I have a notebook with vista and cs3 works well.

I’m in a big trouble.

It’s the driver. Contact the manufacturer or get a new video card.

This isn’t a Photoshop problem.
