I just installed CS4 on Monday. I’ve been working with Photoshop 7. I work in a theatre and create a lot of vertical images — posters, brochures, etc. They all appear square when I open them.
In the View menu, there is not a checkmark next to Pixel Aspect Ratio, and Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction is grayed out.
Under Pixel Aspect Ratio, Square is checked, but I am not able to uncheck it without selecting something else.
Under Advanced, the Pixel Aspect Ratio is set to Square Pixels.
Per the moderator at the Adobe Help forum, I tried deleting the preference files by holding Ctrl+Alt+Shift just after starting Photoshop. No change.
Here are screen shots of my View settings and my image size menu.

I’m a total newby at this CS4 software. Please help if you can!
