I have just installed Photoshop Elements. The thumbnails are correct images. However, when I open an image I get a narrow horizontal rectangle extending from the left side of the image to about 3/4 of the way across to image. I can erase to rectangle and then have a clean image. With the rectangle in view on the base image it does not show up on the print preview. Also, this rectangle is only on horizontally oriented images but not on vertically oriented images.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Elements but still have the same problem. I have tried several different photo files with the same problem. None of my other photo programs have this problem so I’m confident it isn’t a computer problem.
Why am I getting this annoying horizontal box? How do I get this program tpo work properly? Any suggestions?
