I know I can’t be the only one experiencing this. I can’t transform multiple layers in CS (upgraded yesterday)…..I have them linked together …..I can drag them around the palette…..but if I ctrl-t and transform only the selected layer will transform……I’m not sure if I’m making myself clear, but I never had problems with this in 6 or 7…..can any of the CS users give this a shot and let me know?

thanks

oh …..one more thing….it only applies to vector layers….multiple vector layers linked together. Multiple layers containing non-vector images transform correctly.

as a workaround I’m using an empty non-vector layer and linking it with all my vectors….and then transforming the empty layer…..this is a clunky workaround……anyone else?

Another work around is to place the Shape layers into a set and transform the set

Has this been filed as bug? Or is this the intended behavior for CS?

I’m running into it too and it is very annoying. in PS7 this behavior was not present, but something similar to it was: if you used the path selection tools to choose a subset of your vector shape layer, then linked that shape layer to another one to transform, only the subset would resize … EVEN if you had the move selection tool selected.

I’m not sure if it’s been reported….how do I report it?

thanks

This has already been reported.
The work arounds are to link to a blank layer or place Shape Layers into a set before transforming.

Hi Mike,

I never would have guessed you were an Adobe employee by that name, which is why I bumped it … I wanted to make sure an Adobe employee had seen the report.
