how can i hide a layer mask so I can see the full image? I have a image with a layer mask that fades the image just how I want it, but I want to do some more work on the image and with the mask fading parts of the image it hard to edit the image. I guess I could unlink the mask and move it away, but getting back in the right spot will be tricky.

wouldn’t it be great if you could find stuff like that in the manual, I tried searchs "hide layer mask", nothing and "layer mask" just told how to apply one.

Right-click on the mask icon beside the appropriate thumbnail in the layers palette. "Disable" should be available from the context menu that appears.
