Help Menu Not working

Help menu (onLine Help) is not working in Adobe Photoshop 6.01 Windows XP SP 1. I,ve read tecdoc 2b316.htm and did everything it suggested to do, to no avail. I’m also having this problem in Illustrator. What should I do Next?

Thomas:

When you press F1 now, what happens?
* Nothing?
* If an error message displays, what does it say?

Did Help work "once upon a time" and now it doesn’t? If true, what changed between now and then?

This information will help give you better suggestions.

Thank you for your reply. When I press F1 nothing happens, no error message. Yes it did work at one time. I’m not really sure what has changed since then to now.
