Hi,

90% of my time with photoshop I do digital painting. I really think photoshop is THE digitalpainting tool for me but there is one detail that frequently drives me mad – the color picker must always be started from the toolbar!
I was very glad that the brush palette can now be left open since I always have to adjust brush-angle and size. But changing color is an adjustment I have to do much more often and it´s really annoying always having to open the color picker by pressing that color swatch (if there only was a shortcut, that alone would help).
And no, the color palette is no alternative to the color picker – too small, no precise color choice possible.

Come on, do us digital painters a favour and make the Colorpicker a palette!

daniel, I suggest you go re-post this to the Features request sub forum (look at the top of the posts)
Indeed, a bigger color palette might be useful for painters

All of the digital painters I know make their own, either in the working doc or in a new doc. Mix away and use Alt to grab new values.

Daniel…

Have you not tried the newest version of Painter? I’m looking forward to upgrading from Painter 6.0.x myself, partially because it has a "Virtual Mixing Palette" that allows you to mix colors just like you would with real paint.

PLUS, from what I’ve read, Corel has done some enormously good work on streamlining Painter’s heretofore cluttered GUI.

Why not create your own pallete, and save it as an image, then you could pick your colours from that. Plus you could tailor it to your needs etc. Just a thought.
