On image #1, I selected 3 elements, we will call A,B and C. I dragged A, B and C onto a new image #2.
Once I placed A, B and C in proper juxtaposition on image #2, I wanted to "freeze" their relative positions so I could move the entire ABC assemblage around to different locations on #2.
How can I do that?

Flatten them all into one layer, or use layer groups to group the three elements together.

Or link them together by selecting one layer and clicking the empty boxes next to the "eye" of the other two layers.

Also note that if the two drawings are the same dimension, you can hold the shift key down and it will place the objects in the exact same spot when you drag them from one to the other.
