When drawing with the pen tool (CS) I am no longer able to reposition an anchor point by switching to the hand tool (space bar). My question: am I just dreaming and is this feature only available in Illustrator or was this indeed possible in Photoshop 7?

Ronald

When drawing with the pen hold down the ctrl key. This changes the pen to the direct selection tool and you can move the anchor point. I dont know about the hand tool. Cheers

The hand tool moves the canvas in PS and Illy too. not the points/paths.

Thomas,

Thanks.

Timothy,

In Illy it works differently; holding the space bar indeed moves the canvas after you release the pen tool but before releasing the pen tool you can actually move the last placed anchor point (when dragging) and continue dragging the pen after releasing the space bar. Very handy.

My memory obviously is playing tricks as I thought this was possible in Photoshop too…

Ronald
