I changed the text in a template – now i have to save bits of the template to use in my html file.
I cant save because the layers are not "melted" together – how do i do this. Or is there another approach to saving a "button" when there are 3 different layers in it!?

I’m not quite sure I understand what you mean but I think, from what you say, that you need to turn off any layers in the layers palette that you dont want to see in your button then use Save to web. Save as a jpeg or gif. This will ‘flatten’ the saved image, but not your original image, as you save it.
Very useful for making rollover buttons etc

In my PSD file i have a grid – so that i can cut the buttons in equal pieces.

The button is made out of three different layers

I mark the button but how can i save with all the layers!?

If you want the final effect only – i.e. all layers appearing as one image then flatten the image – or use save for web which does this automatically If you want to keep the layers to use separately in your web page as a layered image then save them separately
