Hello:

I would like to create my first animated GIF. I know how to created image pieces using Adobe-photoshop (7.0) as GIF images.

If anybody knows about a cheap (or free) way of doing GIF animation, please let me know.

ImageReady comes with Photoshop and creates excellent animated gifs. Just look up "animation" in the help index.

If you bought Photoshop, you already have a tool for creating animated GIFs: ImageReady. It’s included with Photoshop, and its purpose is to make Web-ready images, slices, rollovers, and animated GIFs.

If you have a legal copy, chances are very good you received Adobe’s most excellent tutorial on CDROM. If you have a legal copy.

I don’t think this merits a big discussion, but I would like to request that you please not imply that people are stealing strictly on the basis of their questions here.

Quite a few people, those with site licenses for example, with legal copies have no manual, and who never received the accompanying CD ROM. There are people with questions who may hesitate to ask them, for fear of being accused of something.
