Hi there
Still new to this photoshop software.
but have managed to do a huge amount
of stuff i have always wanted to do, for many years.

but here is one for you.

if i select a picture that has a lot of black or white
in it ( say a picture of a man standing next to a white garage door )
if i then want to replace the colour of the door
i go to replace colour option , select the white door
then alter the fuzzyness level, but i cannot obtain
any other colours other then white through to black through grey and thats only altering the lightness levels
the hue and saturation dosent work

is there a way of selecting colour?
it works on other colours fine, but like i say Black or white colours wont cycle through the colours of the rainbow.

i know i could use the flood-fill or paint bucket

anyway any ideas or comments welcome

You probably need to move the Lightness slider to get some traction with the color.

Photoshop can do a lot of incredible things to your photographs. I suggest you also try experimenting with curves to preserve a more natural look to your images.

Hi There!

You probably need to go to > Image > Mode > and click on either RGB or CMYK, for whichever mode you want to work in.

If it’s a black & white photo, then it’s coming up in Grayscale mode.

Hope that helps …
