hi,

I am working with Photoshop version 7.0 on Win XP. Whenever I open Photoshop a temporary file is created of more than 0.5 gig, sometimes up to more than 1 gigabyte. This slows down my pc enormously and I am unable to work normally. Can anyone help? Thanks.

PhotoShop seems to create at least one temp equal to the size of the memory dedicated to PS. So if you have 1gb ram and PS is set to use 75% memory, expect at LEAST a 768Mb temp file. Temp file sizes get a lot bigger if you have very large documents open.
