I have found that laminating my prints works well. I use a light laminating pouch as I don’t like the thinker ones. Most copy stores can do this for you if you don’t want to buy a machine to do it yourself. I don’t like laminated pictures framed as you end up with double the glare but for most other uses they work quite well. Some office supply stores sell stick on laminating sheets that are like big clear stickers. These don’t require a machine to apply but can be hard to get on straight and correctly and without bubbles, but you might want to try them. They should be in with the regular laminating pouches. I have heard of sprays you can use to help with the fading problem but have never tried them myself and don’t know much else about them.

I have a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 882c. It uses c1823d (23) color and 51645a (45) black ink cartridriges. All of my prints have faded (went off hue) in about 1 year. Question..
Is there any coating or other method for preventing this from occurring? Any info would be appreciated.
the only solution seem to be having it printed with pigment based ink. This proves to be cheaper after all, bearing in mind that you have it printed once.
What is negative thereabout, is that pigment based get printed at 180dpi while the inkjet printers (I am having some done with inkjet, and do A2’s, which I do need a professional printer for) do it at 600 dpi.Or at least, that is the resolution being used by the printers doing my prints.
