re: FontAgent Pro v.3.0.2

FontAgent’s. Font Player/Font Compare window is not working. It shows a couple Adobe fonts, but the rest of them don’t appear.

Every other function seems to work. It’s on a machine where I’m free-lancing, so I might be slow to respond, since I’m not going back in till Wednesday.
They told me to do what I can to fix it.

The WYSIWIG menu works OK, and I could muddle by with that, but I’d sure like to to be able to create libraries and sets, preview critical headlines and whatnot from within FontAgent. Aside from PS, they want me to handle InDesign projects for myriad clients.

The Mac there is a G4 450 AGP desktop, 1GB RAM. The fonts are kept on another internal HD, from which they are linked to FAP.

If necessary, the fonts could be reinstalled from their original disks, but I’ve no clue as how to go about this while maintaining the current Libraries and Sets.

Reading the manual, there seems to be little in the fixit dept. Any suggestions?

For the record, I’m not planning on using this at home — rather switching from Font Reserve to fontexplorerX. I’m cheap. What more can I say.

Phoned my client and had them run VERIFY from within FAP

Please forget the preceeding message —
7171 fonts, out of 7847 total fonts installed reported:

"The font file was not found. Either replace the file or delete and then import the font again. (error -43)"

No idea how this happened
Clueless as to what might be goin’on

All fonts and folders are exactly where they were when imported.

I had them take screensnapz of the Sets I’d created a couple months back, so all would not be lost.

Planning to just yank and reinstall

Sheesh,
later, lenny

All’s well. Apologies to FAP.
The fonts had originally been in 2 separate folders on the Drive by FontAgent.
Due to a crash while I was not there, the two folders were place into a single folder, with the same name (redundant) as the primary font folder, so both FAP folders had been moved down in the heirarchy. Once restored to their primary level, all worked fine.
