Hello: I am about to start creating a menu for a new DVD project. The menu will consist of some video (looped every minute) and a logo and then the links (play, etc…). I am trying to determine what is the best and logical way of attacking this. Normally I would do all my menus in Photoshop (720×534) and import them into Encore – end of story but with video and the logo/links sliding in, I plan on working in AE as well. But this is where I am confused and lack the experience. I know AE import in Encore is 720×480 which differs from Photoshop. Also I am unsure of exactly where to start – do I design every in Photoshop and then bring everything into AE as layers and then animate them? But if I do so and then import everything into Encore, won’t the subpictures be missing for the links?
You see I am confused. Looking for guidance. Can anyone tell me in detail exactly the way to go about designing a motion menu – step by step. Much appreciated.
