I must have hit a key accidentally and now all the "whites" in every jpg are in red when I am loading them into RAW.
What did I do and how can I get the default settings back? thanks

You have switched the highlights warning on. Click on the triangle in the upper right corner of the histogram.

I have never seen CS3 went red itself, but the ARC and LightRoom do. And if you are talking about the ARC then I am pretty sure it displays the histogram and it;’s saying that some area is overexposed.

I don’t have ARC running at the moment to tell ya exactly what or where to toggle the option ON/OFF, but I am pretty sure it’s somewhere around the Histogram BOX
