Hello,

I am running Photoshop CS2 and I have noticed that it will not see my tablet as a pressure sensitive device even though Photoshop CS and some other programs see the tablet just fine.

The tablet is an Aiptek Hyperpen 8000U. I know that it is not as good as some of the others out there but it works for me. Well it still does in other applications but not CS2.

I have a pretty decent machine. It has an Athlon XP 3000+ processor, 1GB RAM, and a Nvidia video card. I am running Windows XP Home with SP2 with all current patches.

I have updated the tablet and the video card drivers without any success. So I do not have any ideas. I called Adobe and they basically told me that it was an hardware issue. Well I am now seeing that it clearly is not. Does anyone here have any ideas??

I will appreciate any help in this matter.

Dave,

Thank you for that link! I have done what one individual did on that thread. Which is email Aiptek support but I still have not heard from them either! I guess we will have to wait and see I am afraid! 🙁

Again, thank you for the reply and for the link!

Thanks, I hope so too! I have written to them 4 times. 2 times to the tech support based in CA with no response and 2 times to the tech support page on the Taiwan web site and they are returned to me as undeliverable.

So I hope that the other person is correct about them making another driver.

I posted this on the other thread already, but I thought I’d post i here too for people who may be googling for a solution to the sam problem.

Aiptek makes the graphics tablets for most of the clone brands (Trust Medion etc). Trust already have the latest driver on their website tha fixes this problem and it works fine with the Aiptek tablet.

I have more info posted on my website: http://www.al-najjar.co.uk o just go and download the latest Trust driver from her
http://www.trust.com/service/download/drivers.aspx?artnr=140 70 (mak sure you choose the Scroll version even if you don’t have the scrol tablet).
