I have an action written to put up a crop, pause to move it, then do a levels adjustment with a pause to make any necessary adjustments, then save and close. That all works great but what I can’t seem to do is get the image to maximize when it opens. I’ve tried pushing the little maximize box on the top left of the image when I open it, but it doesn’t seem to recognize that as a step. Any ideas?? Using PS 7.01

From the Actions palette menu, choose Insert Menu Item and then select View Actual Pixels from the View menu.

To ‘Maximise’ the window, try Insert Menu Item>View>Screenmode>Full Screen Mode.

I’ve also noticed that the "change view" settings don’t work in my actions in PS 7.01, but FWIW, you can change them manually while the action is running – even without pausing.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Trevor the view actual pixels zooms in on the image alot so it doesn’t work for what I need but great idea!

Mathias the full screen mode helps but it doesn’t quite "maximize" the image like it does when you click the maximize button. Like I said it’s better than what I’ve had and will work.

The reason I’m looking for the maximize is to make it easier to work with the crop. To me getting the image by itself in the middle of the screen without the bounding box or rulers makes it much easier to work with. I just thought it would save time being able to have that recorded into the action rather than having to click the maximize button on every image. I’m processing 200-300 images a day and I know it doesn’t take a whole lot of time to make a mouse click but it’s easier if it can be put into an action.

Thanks again for the help everyone!!!
I’m open to ideas.

The only difference between fullscreen mode and maximise button is the Adobe Photoshop titlebar in the top of the screen, right?

BTW, fullscreen mode can be toggled on the f key. I use it all the time, never hit the maximise button.
