IMAGE>SIZE then type in the dimensions in the appropriate boxes. You’ll need to have RESAMPLE checked and CONSTRAIN PROPORTIONS UNchecked.
You do, of course, understand that going from a square format to a rectangular one will distort the design.
Chris.
I’m sorry I should have been clearer. I needed to figure out how to change the fraction to decimal. I found a chart online. Thank you for your help though.
Mary
Maryn2art,
Actually 5/8 = 6,25/10 = 0.625. So, 3+(5/8 ) = 3.625 and 4+(5/8 ) = 4.625
Follow the instructions that Chris gave you using the first 2 numbers (3.625 and 4.625). Doing so, you will change the aspect ratio and the analogy of the width and height of the image turning the image from square to rectangular.
Are you sure you have to do this?

Mary…
If you learn the simple math involved you’ll necer have to rely on a chart to show you fraction—»decimal conversions.
Let’s look at 5/8. That slash mark is the same as a division sign, so 5 divided by 8 = 0.625
Do it for a fraction—»decimal conversion you know off the top of your head, like 1/4…. 1 divided by 4 = 0.25 See how easy that is?
Seriously, learning to be a little more self-reliant when it comes to stuff like this pays off.
Sorry if that sounded like I was talking down to you, but it’s little things like this that make me glad I paid at least a little bit of attention when I was supposed to.
And you can always google "5/8" and it’ll do the math.
….or type calc at the run prompt, put in your fraction and copy/paste it.
Some applications (eg FreeHand) let you type calculations direct in the text box!

That was uncalled for.
