Ok, so im in photoshop trying to make a lightsaber. So this guy tell me that if i make a green line with line tool and duplicate that 5 times, then make a white line on top of that and duplicate it three times then apply different gaussient blurres to all of them i will have one. Well i apply a gausient blur to one layer then the next with a diff. number and WHAT!?!? why did the gausient for my first layer change! i never changed it. The layer like change them selves accordingly to what i do in other layers, is there somthing i"m totally messing up?

You haven’t linked the layers together in a set have you? I would assume you’d hide al th elayers and reveal each layer in turn as you work on it.
