You could try…

• Changing your printer preferences (via Control Panel) to print directly to the printer instead of spooling to your hard drive(or vice versa).

• Saving the file as a PDF and printing from Acrobat/Reader.

• Saving the file as any other file format and print from any other application.

• Increase timeout setting for your printer.

• Make sure you have sufficient hard drive space to spool the print job (remove *.tmp, *.dmp, obsolete files or programs, defrag, etc.); or set your printer to spool to a different hard drive/partition.

• Run any disk utilities you have on your computer (Norton, Registry First Aid, etc…)

• Check your Photoshop memory usage preferences. 55% is considered optimal. Allocating more to your computer can make things run slower/buggy.
