Transforming a square onto a ball

I have a square to place on a ball. I have tried using the distort filter and in free transform menu but am unable to give the appearance of a square sticker being stuck on a spherical ball. Somehow I need the sticker to "bend" around the sphere. Can anyone help?

Spherize or 3D Transform.

You can also use the pinch filter, negative end of slider bloats.

How about using the warp tool. Ctrl T for transform, right click and choose warp.

Thank you for all your help. Unfortunately I don’t have 3D transform and have been unable to find warp I am on Photoshop CS and not sure if they were included. I have had limited success with the pinch filter, which seems to work the best.

3D Transform should be on your installation disk in the Goodies folder.
