Photoshop 7 help

Hi everyone,
Ive used Paint Shop Pro and now I moved to Photo Shop 7 and its completely different from what i used from Paint shop P. I have a novice questions I like to ask.

1.I want to make multiply lines from one point to another but every time I reach the 3rd anchor point it fills in middle with black or you can say color, is there a way to make the inside color transparent so I just have lines connecting. Im using the pen tool to do this.

Look at left side of the Options Bar. You need to switch to the middle icon, the one with a pen in it. You are making Shape Layers.

Check out the options bar for the pen tool (near the top of the screen)
