Intermittent failure to load

Just got a new Tecra M5 Centrino Duo
About 35% of the time CS2 gets to the Reading New Document sizes part of loading then just completely just locks up and refuse to load or be killed by taskmanager
Anybody know which bit of the process it is getting stuck at or how to troubleshoot as it is frankly getting a bit irritiating

Try to ascertain at which point it stops loading.

For instance, if it stops during "loading fonts…", then that is where the problem is likely to be.

If that was the case, shift half your fonts into a temporary folder on the desktop. If the problem goes away, shift half of those back and try again. Keep going until you isolate the dodgy font.

The same methodology can be applied to the plug-ins.

Try deleting the New Doc Sizes.psp file in the
\documents and settings\appliccation data\adobe\Photohop\9.0\adobe photoshop settings folder
