We have 2 licenced versions of Photoshop in our Studio – CS on Windows and CS2 on Mac. We have been paying for Adobe products for the past 15 years.
For the past 2 months we have been trying to transfer the windows Licence to Mac since upgrading to all Mac computers.
Adobe here in the UK have been less than gracious – we have today (after the umpteenth phone call to chase the progress of the request – which had originally been agreed as long as an upgrade to CS3 was paid for , and then suddenly changed to "we haven’t decided yet.") had an Adobe Employee who when asked "What you are saying is you don’t care about me or my business?" replied "PRECISELY!".
My colleague is at the end of his tether and feels that to have supported Adobe for so long only to be treated in this way is unforgiveable – he is all for selling his newly purchased Mac’s and never upgrading his Photoshop again. I am also keen to upgrade my CS2 to CS3 but will not be paying Adobe another penny till this is resolved.
The employee has refused to give contact details for his superior so we have to resort to posting here.
Sadly it is this kind of attitude that plays into the hands of the software pirates…
To say we are deeply dissapointed is an understatement. We are both members of the BIPP and adhere to its code of conduct in regard to honest and fair business practice.
I would expect some feedback please.
