I know this was answered way back when, but it’s no longer posted. How the heck is this done again?

Change the brush spacing. If you want real dashes on a curve you have to adjust the Angle Jitter.

Thanks Ed, but it was the where-to on the brush spacing. I couldn’t recall where to find that setting.

In the Brushes palette (Window>Brushes), under Brush Tip Shapes, if you are using a recent version of PS.

Ah…I hadn’t dropped down from the default setting to "brush tip shapes."
