The Adobe Gamma program for calibrating monitors used with Photoshop asks for a phosphor type setting. The options are: EBU/ITU or HDTV (CCIR 709) or NTSC (1953) or P22 EBU or SMPTE-C (CCIR 601-1) or Trinitron or Custom. I’ve checked the monitor’s manual (NEC MultiSync FE 950+) and the manufacture’s Web site for phosphor information. The only information states "medium short phosphor."

Any suggestion as to what phosphor setting should be used when calibrating this monitor?

Thanks.

If you look at Ian Lyons’ tutorial , <http://www.computer-darkroom.com/ps7-colour/ps7_2.htm>, I think you’ll find that it doesn’t matter all that much. Read the article and you’ll remove some of the uncertainty that we’ve all faced. <G>
