Upgrade from 5.0 to CS2

I am trying to re-install an upgrade from Photoshop 5.0 to CS2 after hard disk failure. I called Adobe Customer Service who tried to help by having me rename the instmsia file in CS2 but it didn’t work and they referred me here. Does anyone remember how to make the upgrade install? When I put in the cd for CS2 it says that you need Photoshop 5.5 in order to install CS2. I know there is some extra step you have to go through to go from 5.0 to CS2 because I went through it 3 years ago when I first installed CS2.

I know there is some extra step you have to go through to go from 5.0 to CS2 because I went through it 3 years ago when I first installed CS2.

adobe needs to give you a code. you need to call them back and if you get another moron on the phone, ask for someone else! 🙂
