7.0 Freezes when creating a new image

Every time I open Photoshop 7.0 and go to File > New Document/Image, photoshop locks up and I have to restart. I haven’t had any problems with this since I got it months ago. This is aggreviating because I can’t get anything done.

How would I solve this problem? Should I reinstall Photoshop?

Do you SEE the new image dialog box?

If not, it’s probably off screen.

When it locks up, press "Esc" or "Enter". If they do anything, then you know that the dialog box is off-screen. If that is the case, then you should probably reset the Preferences. (See the FAQ if you need to know how to do that.)
