Filter gallery is slow…is this normal?

Ok, I’ve noticed that in CS when I go to launch the Filter Gallery its takes longer to load than I think it should.

I’ve had times where Photoshop will not respond for like 10 seconds after clicking the filter gallery.

Here are my specs, but I don’t think its my machine.

3ghz P4 800mhz FSB
1gb dual channel 40o DDR Ram
160gb Western Digital HDD
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

There are times when it takes my computer 45 seconds to load the filter gallery the first time I open it. But after that it opens faster. Figured it was just the way it was with my computer and PSCS.
