Problem with Text Size

Lately whenever I’ve tried to put text on a pic or blank canvas, it comes out microscopic. Sizes such as 20, 36 and even 72 don’t show up and I’m forced to change the text size to 1200+ just so it can show up how 14 would normally look. I thought there was something wrong with my preferences so I did the "delete the pref file" trick and that seemed to correct the problem, but now, a week later, it’s started again.

Does anyone know why my text continues to be so skewed and how I may fix it?

2 possibilities:

1) Your image has a very low images rez – well below 72 ppi

2) Your preferences are corrupted. Details of how to delete the preference file can be found in the FAQ at the top of this forum’s Topic List.

As I said, I already deleted the pref file which seemed to work for awhile but the problem started up again. As for my dpi, it’s always at 72.

If the problem started up again after having been corrected for awhile, then maybe the prefs file needs to be deleted again?

Is there no way to permanently correct this problem or will I have to delete the prefs file over and over every time this happens?

If your prefs keep corrupting, then Yes.

The question is why are your prefs corrupting?
