Hi Group,

I am trying to select a layer to apply a selection around type. I used to do this by Ctrl clicking the layer, simple. Now with CS2 I don’t know how to do this…~!

Can anyone advise me??

in older versions of Photoshop you’d just press ctrl + the layer, but in CS2 you can’t just click anywhere on the layer in the layer palette. In the layer palette, each layer is shown as a rectangle with a small square preview of it towards the left of the layer. You need to click right on that square in order to select the layer. Hope this helps.

Now you click on the thumbnail in the layers palette instead of the layer. If you CTRL-click on the layer (outside the thumbnail) it selects that layer to be linked to any other layers you CTRL-click. ——————
