I need to make a "fuzzy border" for a picture. In other words, I will be printing it on a white background and I need to have a fuzzy edge to the picture instead of a sharply defined border. What’t the best way to do this?

Many ways to do it, quick and dirty method is to select all and set the width of the fuzziness in the tool options. Using this method, you can keep the setting uniform across several pictures requiring the same treatment.

You could use a vignette perhaps…. feathering a selection, select inverse and delete… dunno…. might help
