Ok, say I have a photo and I want to remove a double chin. How would I go about doing that with Photoshop elements? Is it do-able? :chagrin:

As well as the two previous suggestions you can try duplicating your layer and on the bottom version do a pretty serious dust and scratches filter or gaussian blur (may need to experiment). And then use the eraser on the top layer to erase the lines(wrinkles, blemishes, etc.) you want to remove. Kind of a faux healing brush. Would remove the fold of a double chin, though not the chin itself. For that you would need one of the other techniques mentioned.

And I’d do a zoom in and do some trimming, using Clone tool both to get rid of any "folds" and to put background in place of "full" features of the neck.

Another method would be to use the dodge tool with a soft edged brush and the range set to shadows with an exposure of around 50%… This method may be a little more difficult because it requires a bit of precision with the brush but it will look more realistic because it won’t end up leaving any kind of a trail from warping that part of the image and it won’t create any unusual soft spots from bluring it.
