memory errors on large files

on large files it often happens that kind of "dirty bits" are displayed on the screen. they do not go away with a "refresh" of the window, and are also in the main psd file when saving and "generating full resolution".

this only occurs on >1Gb files, but its a major problem, because the "dirt" must be retouched and this can mean delete the layer and start over again. we lose expensive time here.

looks like a grafic memory error, never had this before on a mac – we work on mac’s for over 10 years. any ideas how to solve this problem??

setup: DG4, 2×1,25, cinema 23", OSX 10.3, 2Gb RAM.

I would start with the updaters and the ram…

PS:

The disk system maintenance is also a good start, but if the actual files are corrupting (the corruption prints) ur probably looking at bad hardware…
